- Standalone App: Scaler 3 can now work as a standalone app in addition to being used as a plugin in any DAW, providing a complete and flexible songwriting tool.
- Multi-layered Timeline: The Arrange page now includes a timeline with dedicated tracks for chords, melodies, bass, and phrases. Each track is synced to the main chord track, and clips are fully customizable with independent controls for each track or clip.
- Explore Page: Explore the harmonic world of chords without being tied to specific scales. Categorized by genre and mood (e.g. Dark, Bright, Neutral), the Explore page offers compatible and experimental chord progressions, opening up new avenues for unique and bold harmonic structures.
- Colors Page: Explore a complete overview of all chord variations and harmonic alternatives on a single, unified page. Instantly access parallel and relative chords, as well as a variety of chord variations and substitutions, to add expressiveness and creative flexibility to your compositions.
- Motions: Scaler’s favorite Phrases, Performances, Melodies, and Basslines have been reimagined as Motions, now tagged by mood for easier browsing. Scaler 3 introduces hundreds of new Motions created by professional musicians, including the all-new Passages Motion type.
- Note Editing and Harmonic Modifiers: A comprehensive note editing matrix allows users to customize or create new Motions. MIDI tracks can be set to follow or work independently of the chord tracks, with new Harmonic Modifiers and Motion Controls to adjust note range, density, pitch, and clip rotation – all within the selected key.
